Candy Corn Wreath

When I first got my Women's Day magazine I totally fell in love with this wreath. I made one of my own and it was super easy and cheap. It cost about $15 with the foam wreath being the most expensive thing. I got my Candy corns from the dollar store and my ribbon from Walmart (they say to use black duct tape but I like ribbon better so I used ribbon).  It was so easy to make however I started out glueing the candy on with elmers glue and struggled. I found hot glue works best :)

The only thing that I haven't really liked about this wreath is that it attracts hornets because it is sweet. I sprayed it with polyurethane hoping that would harden the candy and take away the sweet smell but they still swarm. I would recommend following their tips to repel bugs before making the wreath to avoid this problem. I totally love this wreath on my door, so festive for Halloween!
